February FairyLoot Unboxing!

I’m going to be revealing all the wonderful goodies I got in the Feb FairyLoot this year! I knew as soon as I saw the theme was ‘Twisted Tales’ that I was going to love everything in this box, and hot damn, FairyLoot did not disappoint.

*spoilers ahead*

I got these incredibly creepy and enticing bath salts by Little Heart. They smell so wonderful and deadly sweet. I love apple so I can’t wait to tip them in the bath and relax. Thankfully, they’re not actually poisonous…

Just look at these adorable socks! I love them so much. I adore all the items in the box but these socks just take the cake for me. I’m a big lover of the Hansel and Gretel story and the many interpretations and adaptations. They’re so wonderful and soft and cosy and I love them.

I also got a mug inspired by the Grimm fairytales designed by Aunjuli Art! It’s so beautiful! I love all the little fairytale hints in the mug, and I’m sure you can spot a few in the picture I took, including little Red…

And oh my God this candle from Wick and Fable smells so good. This Hinterland candle smells woodsy and has a kind of clean scent, like wood and floral soap. It’s so nice and I’ve put it on my desk and can’t stop leaning over the flame to smell it. I love that it’s inspired by the book too…

And finally, the next items in the box (bar the book, of course) are these cute bookmarks. The FairyLoot February theme bookmark is wonderful and the artwork for these boxes never fails to make me smile. And the other is a wooden bookmark designed by Ink and Wonder with this awesome Little Red Riding Hood design. The quote reads ‘Wolves may lurk in every guise’. It reminds me of vintage tattoos. I can’t wait to use it while reading the book.

AND FINALLY. HERE IT IS.

I cannot tell you how happy I was to pull this book out of the FairyLoot book bag. The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert is one of my anticipated reads of 2018. I am so excited to get into it. It sounds right up my street and I am so impressed by FairyLoot for giving me this book! The book is an exclusive signed edition and it came with this wonderfully inspiring letter from Melissa.

So there you have it! All the wonderful items and brilliant book in the FairyLoot Twisted Tales box. It is easily my most excited and happy unboxing I’ve ever done. Damn, I can’t even tell you how glad I was unboxing these goodies.

Until next time…

    1. It is great, and arguably one of the affordable ones. I tend to save up and buy the boxes that I really like the sound of. I don’t like long term subscriptions, they’re too expensive and unpredictable. One box every now and again is great for me!
